Catch Phrase 潮詞潮語 | Slay 全場 Slay quánchǎng

Meaning:

“To slay” means “to kill in a violent way，” and “全場” means “the full field。” Similar to the English usage “She has a killer smile” （connoting， “Her smile is very beautiful）， this Chinese term， frequently used by fans to describe their idols， means that someone is “the best and powerful of all on a given occasion。”

Example:

A： 你喜歡的小姐姐昨天上湖南衛視的綜藝節目了。

Nǐ xǐhuan de xiǎojiějiě zuótiān shàng húnán wèishì de zōngyì jiémù le。

The young actress you like appeared on a variety show on Hunan Satellite TV yesterday。

B： 你也看了嗎？沒想到她唱歌也那麼好聽，一開口就Slay全場。

Nǐ yě kàn le ma？Méi xiǎngdào tā chànggē yě nàme hǎotīng，yī kāikǒu jiù Slay quánchǎng。

Did you watch that？ I didn’t know she can sing too。 The moment she opened her mouth， everybody was impressed that she was so good。
