皮影戲是用來驅邪的，人們希望皮影戲的演出能給他們帶來好運。

皮影戲：shadow play

是用來做某事的be used to do sth

驅邪：驅逐趕走邪惡的靈魂或事物，drive out evil spirits

（drive out：趕走，驅除）

……的演出the performance of……

帶來bring

翻譯：

這一句還可以這麼翻譯：

前一部分是一個完整的句子，後一部分也是一個完整的句子，

那麼我們可以把其中一句作主句，另一句以分句的方式處理。

分析：為什麼人們希望皮影戲的表演能給他們帶來好運？因為皮影戲能驅邪，這是原因，是目的。

因此前一部分句子可做原因狀語從句，用with引導。

這句關於文化的句子很典型，尤其是“博大精深”“源遠流長”屬於高頻片語，在考場上一看到這兩個詞，就要馬上想起它的表達方式，基本都是固定的。

中國是一個歷史悠久的、文化燦爛的多民族國家。

首先分析句子的主語、謂語和賓語。

就像小學語文階段學習的“縮寫句子”，把多餘的成分去掉，剩下的便是精華。

這句話要介紹的就是中國，主語就是“中國China”。“是”be動詞。“多民族國家”就是賓語，即multi-ethnic country（在以後的句子中再看到“多民族國家”，立馬要想到multi-ethnic country）。一般來說，“怎樣的某物/某人”的結構都是
